Slow Set Epoxy Grout

Stratarock Slow Set Epoxy Grout is a high-strength, slow-setting industrial epoxy grout designed for grouting, re-grouting, and anchoring equipment. This two-component, 100% solids grout offers excellent flow rates, ensuring easy penetration under machine bases or sole plates. It provides outstanding resistance to a wide range of chemical and abrasive conditions, as well as vibration and impact, enhancing machine performance. With minimal surface preparation and quick, easy installation, it reduces costly downtime. User-friendly grouting techniques allow for machine resetting without removal in most cases. Its slow-setting and special curing features enable operation within 36 to 48 hours after installation, hardening to a compressive strength of 13,500 psi within that timeframe.

Features & Benefits

  • Quick and Easy Installation: Simplifies the grouting process, reducing labor time and associated costs.

  • Versatile Application Thickness: Can be applied in layers ranging from ¼ inch to 1 ½ inches, accommodating various project requirements.

  • High Physical Strengths: Achieves a compressive strength of 13,500 psi within 36 to 48 hours, ensuring robust support for heavy equipment.

  • Excellent Chemical Resistance: Offers superior resistance to a wide range of chemicals compared to traditional concrete, enhancing durability in harsh environments.

  • U.S.D.A. Approved: Suitable for incidental food contact, making it appropriate for use in food processing facilities.

  • Impact and Vibration Resistance: Maintains structural integrity under dynamic loads, reducing the risk of equipment misalignment or damage.

  • Extended Working Time: Provides a longer open time to ensure complete void filling, especially beneficial in high-temperature conditions or during hotter months.

  • Superior Flow Characteristics: Designed for medium-fast set and cure with excellent flow, facilitating penetration into tight clearances and complex geometries.

Uses

Slow Set Epoxy Grout is ideal for grouting, re-grouting, and anchoring equipment. Its user-friendly formulation and superior flow rates allow easy penetration under machine bases or sole plates, reducing costly downtime. Specific applications include:

  • Anchoring Bolts: Provides secure, long-lasting anchorage for bolts in industrial settings.

  • Equipment Bases: Offers a stable foundation for various machinery, ensuring optimal performance and stability.

  • Applications with Chemical Exposure: Suitable for environments where chemical resistance is crucial to maintain material integrity.

  • Heavy Vibration Applications: Ideal for settings where equipment is subject to continuous or intense vibrations.

  • Heavy Machine Bases: Ensures robust support for large machinery, maintaining alignment and reducing operational issues.

  • Rebuilding Equipment Foundations: Restores the integrity of existing foundations, extending the service life of equipment installations.

Applications

Pulp & Paper

Ideal for grouting, anchoring, and void filling in equipment setting applications. Specifically designed for use in areas with high temperatures or during hotter months, it effectively fills smaller spaces for plate-to-plate grouting often found on paper machines. Its extended working time ensures complete void filling even on the hottest days.

Chemical Processing

Suitable for grouting, anchoring, and void filling in equipment setting applications within high-temperature process areas. The longer working time helps ensure thorough void filling in even the hottest environments, offering good basic chemical resistance for longevity beyond cement-based materials.

Mining & Minerals

Effective for grouting, anchoring, and void filling in equipment setting applications, particularly in high-temperature conditions or during hotter months. Whether anchoring a crusher or grouting fans, this grout flows into tight clearances, ensuring secure installations.
